We’re so honoured to be invited to participate in this exhibition, co-hosted by Korea Ensemble of Contemporary Design Association, Japan Chubu Creators Club, Shenzhen Design Association, Taiwan Poster Design Association and Macau Designers Association. Held in Seoul, Korea from 7th–25th May, the exhibition showcases poster designs from Korea, China, japan, Taiwan, Macau, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Turkey, Iran, Israel, India and of course, Singapore. It was an open theme, so we basically jumped at the chance to create a poster based on our ‘Statement of Faith’:

“If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, nothing will be impossible for you”.

This is an adaptation from Matthew 17:20, from which we also got our name. It’s a constant reminder that with the right belief, there is nothing than we cannot accomplish. It’s our encouragement that as small and inadequate as we may feel sometimes, we can still do great things if he keep our hope alive.

Nothing is impossible, as long as we have faith.

The Poster

The final design was printed and exhibited at 594 x 420mm in full colour. You’ve probably already seen a similar image on our About page. The typography started in Adobe Illustrator, which was then exported into Maxon Cinema 4d to create the 3d extrusions and lighting. For the materials and global illumination rendering, we turned to our new secret weapon: Otoy’s Octane Renderer (more on this in a later post!). Final post-render tweaks were then made in Photoshop. We really like how it turned out, so to commemorate the occasion, and also as part of celebrating our 10th anniversary, we’ve decided to make a version of it for desktop wallpapers. If you like it, feel free to download it:

1440 x 900px | 1920 x 1080px | 2560 x 1440px

I hope you like it. Let us know what you think!
