We recently had the opportunity to create a brand identity for an Android app named iGuard. It essentially has the same functionality as ‘Find My iPhone’ for iPhone, which meant that its visual message would be similar, but with the challenge of making it unique to the brand.

The solution came in a moment of inspiration: to incorporate the ‘i’ and ‘G’ from the product name into the radar screen design. This created a very interesting application for the identity as an icon.

The icon is designed to rotate. In the course of animating, it reveals both the “i” and the “G” of the name.

This project has been a great learning experience. And we’re now hoping to score a similar one for our beloved iPhone platform! Any iPhone devs out there reading this? Do drop us a line…
